About Bryan (ex-blogger)

Hi guys!

I am Bryan Yuan. I am the new student intern here at the International Student Center. I came from Shenzhen, China. I came to United States four years ago and went to Pierce College, which is in Lakewood. After graduating from Pierce College, I came to PLU for its nursing program. And now, I am a Sophomore nursing student.

What I liked most about PLU is its homey atmosphere. Because we have a small campus, you never feel lonely here as a family member of Lutes. Everybody is super friendly and nice!

I love playing sports and meeting new friends from all over the world. I joined the United Students Association club in PLU to meet more people, and I am currently the vice president of the club. I also play intramural sports like volleyball, badminton, and basketball. I’ve tried varieties of sports, and snowboarding is my newly found most favorite sport. When I am free at home, I play video games and watch anime.

            My piece of advice for new students is to utilize school resources well! Our school has put a lot of effort into helping students succeed. If you have trouble writing essays, go to the Writing Center; if you are having a hard time in class, find a tutor on our school website; or if you just need some help in general, come to the International Student Center! I am looking forward to meeting you!
