About Blen

 Greetings!

My name is Blen and I was born and raised in Ethiopia. Being a new student intern at the PLU International Student Center is a great opportunity as a Sophomore who is majoring in International Business. Since I'm interested in doing Business globally I decided to learn new techniques in the US. Coming to the US, specifically to PLU, has helped me improve my business, leadership, critical thinking, communication, and problem solving skills. I have been here at PLU for a year and a half now, during this period I have learned a lot by being exposed to a different learning environment and school system. Being exposed to a different environment broadened my communication skills and learning abilities. Business is everything to me; I am passionate about learning about Business and broadening my knowledge in that specific area.

There are a lot of things that I love about PLU: the community, the class sizes, the one-on-one interaction that students can have with their professors, and a lot more that can be mentioned. Adding to the reasons why I chose PLU rather than other universities is that coming here has made me focus on myself which helped me define who I am and what my goal is. Defining my goals and focusing on myself has left me with the opportunity to work towards and discover ways to achieve my goals. I believe that knowing what you want in life and working on that sooner but not later will help you be where you want to be in the future.

Apart from my school life I love going out with friends, going to restaurants, and most importantly I love fashion. I do believe that knowing your taste of fashion improves your self confidence.

I am really passionate in providing help during your stay at PLU - like I said the community here is supportive and fun. Looking forward to it.
